The cases of nouns are:
nominative (subjective)- as the subject of a sentence or a clause.
My mother made some Sandwiches. (the noun 'mother' is the subject of the sentence)
The sandwiches that mother made are for the kids. (the noun 'mother' is the subject of the relative clause 'that mother made')
objective- as the object or indirect object of the verb, or the object of a preposition.
My mother made some sandwiches. (the noun 'sandwiches' is the direct object of the verb 'made')
My mother made some sandwiches for the kids. (the noun 'kids' is the object of the preposition 'for')
possessive (genitive)- used to show that something in the sentence belongs to that noun.
The kids' lunch is ready.
The kids love my mother'ssandwiches.
Examples of plural nouns: Dog -> dogs cat -> cats apple -> apples In some cases you need to add -es. For example: witch -> witches box -> boxes kiss -> kisses

The accusative and dative cases (as well as the genitive and nominative cases) affect pronouns and direct/indirect articles. Some nouns, such as those ending in the letter "r" will gain an extra "n" at the end

Count nouns are nouns that can be counted, for example: bed, cat, movie, train, cousin, country. Non-count nouns are nouns that can't be counted, for example: knowledge, weather, electricity, flour, biology.

Abstract nouns name things that cannot be physically touched, for example 'love', 'happiness' or 'dream'. Concrete nouns name things you can touch or picked up, for example 'car', 'pencil' or 'dog'.

Mass nouns are nouns that we cant count. Mass nouns like water,milk and chocolate can count so that they are called mass nouns.
