1. Using a pronoun without making clear who or what the referent is, for example,

It is not clear whether "He" is referring to Tom or his father.

It is not clear what "it" is referring to in the sentence "It is very complicated." This must be explained more clearly in the sentence, for example,
"Returning home to see my family is always very complicated because my parents are divorced and do not have a relationship with each other, but I have a close relationship with each of them."
