On a 1999 Lincoln Navigator : The air suspension shut off switch is in the front passenger footwell , by the kick panel ( for any time you are changing a tire , if the vehicle is being towed , or if the vehicle is on a hoist that allows the wheels to hang down , shutting off the air suspension system will prevent any damage to the system )
The compressor is located on the front passenger side of the engine compartment just in front of the battery. (man, have we had problems with the whole suspension system!)

if you need to disable it then go to the trunk and turn off the air system on the left side.
you can turn the switch off (located on the right side of the trunk) or you can replace the air springs with regular spring. there is a special suspension kit
The acronym ASR has many different meanings, but the most common is Automated System Recovery, which is a Microsoft computer term, meaning a computer system recovery.
The dealer can run the VIN number through their computer system to get the sales codes. That will show firm feel or normal suspension.
According to the 2012 Lincoln Navigator owners manual the air suspension system can be enabled or disabled through the message center You can view the 2012 Lincoln Navigator owners manual online at : www . motorcraft service . com ( no spaces ) Click on Owner Guides ( information about the message center starts on page 19 )
It is very expensive to totally redo the air stuff in your suspension system, but I think you can switch the air stuff out for a suspension system that does not need a computer and stuff. I have heard of a company call Strutmasters. You should check them out! Strutmasters.com I have a 1998 Cadillac Deville, and I had a big problem with my cars suspension. I found out that Cadillac dealers want anywhere from $3000 to $4500 to fix it! I could not sink that much into my car. So I called Strutmasters.com and they fixed my Deville for around $800! They had less expensive options, but this one was a complete fix for my entire suspension! I am very happy with the outcome!
