According to the a big after market gasket company, and one large auto part supply firm which shares many repair instructions, on a 2.4L 16 Valve SOHC, it goes like this:
- Following the proper tightening sequence, tighten the cylinder head bolts to 58 ft. lbs. (78 Nm).
- Loosen all bolts completely.
- Torque bolts to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm).
- Tighten bolts an additional 1 / 4 turn.
- Tighten bolts an additional 1 / 4 turn.
