Rheumatic fever can be very dangerous once you get it. It can kill over 3million people a year! Crazy i know! It can cause permanent damage to the heart valves, cause heart failure, stroke, and even death! It's not very common though. It's mostly common in the Sub-Saharan, Africa, and the South Central Asia.
