There is only 125 codes that it could be. When the light stays on that means that there has been a hard code set. You will need to have engine scanned with a 0BD2 scanner to find out what the code is for sure. Some parts stores will scan it for free.
That's the computer's way of telling you that something is wrong and it wants you to read the diagnostic code.
