There is no difference in that they both believe what and how it happened (because they both have the same book, Genesis, describing creation), but Christians believe that Jesus created the universe (John 1:1-18), and Jews denounce that Jesus is God.

The above is partly true. It is partly by the fact that both the Jewish faith and Christian faith both believe in how "life" was created.

The difference is that Christians believe Jesus to be the Messiah, or Saviour. Jews do not.

The big difference is Christians infer a complex doctrine of original sin from Eve's eating the apple, a sin so severe that all mankind is doomed to Hell unless saved.  Jews completely reject this.

They primarily believe in the same story of Creation, with six days and the Garden of Eden. The main difference is the Christian concept of original sin which comes out of the Creation story and the Jewish belief that Adam's act defined sin but did not create an inherent sin in humanity.

Please add to this list.

Similarities:

  • Both believe in one God
  • Both share the Hebrew Bible, though Christians call it "The Old Testament".
  • Both believe that the Righteous shall be saved and the Wicked punished.
  • Both believe in a Personal God who intervenes in everyday human affairs.
  • Both believe in Giving Alms to the Poor and Wayfarer.
  • Both believe in the sacredness of the Holy Land.
  • In the Islamic World, both Jews and Christians were considered Dhimmi and Ahl Al-Kitaab and given certain protections and taxes.
  • Both Christians and Jews desire universal peace, but will fight wars for their own protection (with the exception of the Quakers and other adamant pacifist sects).

Differences:

  • Jews believe God is a unity; most Christians believe either in a Trinity or at least the special nature of Jesus above other humans.
  • Jews focus on action (following laws, traditions and customs); Christians focus on belief.
  • Jews focus on this world and bringing justice into it; Christians follow their beliefs for the purpose of eternal life.
  • Christians have baptism; Jews do not (though there are occasions for ritual bathing in Judaism, unrelated to baptism).
  • Christians believe Jesus was the messiah; Not only do Jews not accept this, they also have a completely different definition of "Messiah".
  • Jews do not believe in proselytizing; many Christians believe in spreading the Gospel.
  • There can be Jews who are atheists, but by definition, there cannot be Christian atheists.
  • Jews have a strong prohibition against saying or writing the true name of God, or writing any of the titles used for Him in documents in full; Christians do not have this prohibition, and most are not even aware that the Jews do have this prohibition.
  • Jews do not believe in heaven and hell while Christians do.
  • Jews do not believe in the concept of original sin or even the Christian concept of sin altogether.
  • Protestant Christianity embraces the idea of "solo scriptorum" whereas Judaism relies on Rabbinic Literature and Responsa on religious law. This creates a more confined and unified religious structure (and less splintering of different sects).
  • Jews say that Saturday is the Holy Day of the Week while Christians say that it is Sunday.

What is the difference and similarities between the first and second crusade?

The main difference between the First Crusade and the Second Crusade is that the Christian forces successfully captured Jerusalem and surrounding lands in the First Crusade and experienced heavy losses in the Second Crusade.
