Guinea pigs are bigger.

Correct Answer!!!!The person above me could not be more wrong!!! Sure they can be bigger, but that's just the start!! Hamsters run on a wheel in their cage. Guinea Pigs do not. Hamsters DO NOT eat citrus fruit (lemons, limes, or any other citric melon) this is harmful to Hamsters. On the other hand, Guinea Pigs need Vitamin C. That's why you put two drops of Vitamin Drops (found in most pet stores) Guinea Pig's water. You put two drops PER OUNCE of water. Hamsters crawl in tubes, run on wheels, and are active in their cage, but not usually easy to cuddle. Guinea Pigs don't do much in their cage, but they get attached to their personal owner and recognize them and they cuddle!!! Hamsters tend to be faster. Guinea Pigs tend to be slower. HAMSTERS SLEEP IN DAY! (alot of people forget that) and Guinea Pigs sleep at night.

The list goes on and on. I've done alot of research on both. They have some great care books on both of the Species at Petsmart. Goodluck! Bye! =^^=

Yup, guinea pigs are bigger in size. definitely, they are much much smaller, resulting in if they runaway and hide you'd never find them, but if a guinea pig di that, you could probably find them because they are vocal, or much bigger. I hope I helped!

Guinea Pigs are much more calm and laid back than hamsters and gerbils. Also guinea pigs are less likely to bite you than a smaller rodent such as hamsters and gerbils, they also are easier to start off with. If you buy a guinea pig it normally takes about a few days of holding them and brushing them/ giving treats for them to get used to u and love you for life. They can be nocturnal, however, like hamsters and gerbils, depending on the schedule they had at their previous homes and/or the schedule you are currently giving them. They do become sexually mature at about 2 months old and after ten months of no mating at all, whatso ever, their pubic bones will swell together. If, after the age of ten months with no breeding and your guinea pig gets pregnant it will mostlikely die giving birth.

I cannot give you any more details about the difference of hamsters and gerbils.

A hamster is larger and has a stub for a tail, a gerbil is small and has a long hairy tail. Hamsters also can hold lots of food in pouches in their cheeks; gerbils can not.
hamsters are smaller and nocturnal, whereas gerbils are not nocturnal and have longer tails and look different, Google them on images and compare and there will be a difference

first off, guinea pigs can get bigger than rats, but it depends on what kind of rat you compare them to. second, rats can eat pretty much anything, from Chocolate Chip Cookies to chicken feed, while guinea pigs, if they eat those things, can become very sick! Guinea pigs prefer to eat their usual pellets along with some fruits and veggies that are high in vitamin C. Also, rats can climb, squeeze through, live, and spin around in literally ANYWHERE! but guinea pigs have VERY fragile spines, so they can't roll around in a ball, or spin in a wheel. Rats are very active, while guinea pigs just like to cuddle up with their favorite person, hide in dark places, and eat all day.

Do guinea pigs and dwarf rabbits get along?

It is best that guinea pigs are kept with other guinea pigs rather than rabbits as rabbits do not speak "cavy" and guinea pigs like to have others of their own species to talk to. Rabbits tend to spray, and guinea pigs are animals that like to be clean and as hygienic as possible. They also cant share food, as rabbit food contains an anti-coccidostat (ACS) which will shorten a guinea pigs lifespan by poisoning it's internal organs. Although they would probably be OK together, it will be better for the guinea pig if they are kept apart- having said that, there are cases of rabbits and guinea pigs getting on very well and living happily together. It depends on how the guinea pig and the rabbit get on. Hope this was helpful :)
