What are the different Muslim attitudes towards other religions?

The main religious teachings found in the Koran and Hadith, have many 'suras' that teach Islam is the only way and all other views need to be assimilated or discarded. Islam has, however, respected other religions to some point. However, there are some Islamic extremists who believe anyone that is not a Muslim is condemned. Currently, ISIS/ISIL is trying to form a 'caliphate' where only Islam will be tolerated. They desire to convert the entire world - primarily through non-peaceful means.

∙ 10y agoJust like with many other religions, some don't care if you disagree, some might try and respectfully sway you, and there are some extremists who either try and force you or kill non-believers. (Note: there are extremists in every group of humans not just muslims, and they are the minority)
