For a long time people have been classified into various groupings such as Caucasoid, Negroid etc. Today, due to advances in medical science and particularly genetics, it has been realized that these divisions are virtually meaningless. The external differences in appearance which we notice mostly such as eye shape and skin color are superficial and meaningless genetically. The different Asian eye is caused by additional fat around the eye and the darker skin colors are different amounts of melanin.
This is why a white skinned person can be a better match for organ donation for example, to a black person than a person of the same skin color and vice -versa. The genetic differences which occur among people are spread throughout the gene pool of the world with minor local variations.
This is another reason why racism is pointless, since we are all essentially the same. No race is superior, or is more highly evolved than another. Incidentally, this also supports the biblical view that we are all 'of one blood' and are descended from common stock in the not too distant past.
