There are 3 types of tundras, the antarctic tundra, the arctic tundra, and the alpine tundra.
I think the turndra has the most extreme cold and rarely has precipitation but it's mostly snow, there's also the desert which is cold at night and gets no snow but I would think tundra.
A group of ecosystems with similar organisms and climates is called a biome. There are several different types of biomes. They are: Tundra, taiga, desert, steppe, rain forest, savanna, and temperate forest.

Only ten types of organisms live in tundras. The tundra biome is the coldest biome in the world. The permafrost can be as deep as 300-1500 feet. The summer only lasts for 6-10 weeks. Small trees that grow in a tundra only reach the height of 4 inches.
