1. to have a spreadsheet you need a computer and that will take up alot of room and also costs a lot.

2. you have to re-copy data over and over again to maintain it in separate data files,

3. you can not efficiently identify data errors,

4. theres a lack of detailed sorting and querying abilities,

5. sharing violations among users wishing to view or change data at the same time.

6. spreadsheets are restricted to a finite number of records

7. require a large amount of hard-drive space for data storage

8. cannot create reports like databases
