You need to compile an arsenal of paperwork to prove that you lived as husband and wife, including deeds and titles to jointly shared property, proof of joint tax filings and bank accounts, utility bills, leases, credit card statements, letters, cards, photos, marriage documents, and affidavits from credible sources--employers, friends, landlords, etc. who witness your life as a married couple. An Immigration attorney advised us that statements from parents are particularly helpful, as "it's almost never a fraudulent marriage when the families are involved."
THe more information you can compile, the better, and do it in an organized way illustrating the content of the packet and the chronology of the relationship. The UCIS web site should have a comprehensive list of required documents, but the more you can add to this list, the better.
