Dragonspawn have been created as part of an experiment by Deathwing and Nefarian, where draconian Humanoids were created as soldiers and commanders for the black dragon armies. Some say they were made from Humanoid worshipers who lived with the Dragons for so long, that they took on their shapes.

Their two abilities are cleave and strike (inflicts increased melee damage). When skinned they will drop 1-2 rugged leather, a dragonscale (red, black, blue, green or worn), a thick hide, or 1-2 thick leather. Aside from all the normal trash drops and potions, these guys have a chance of dropping a Chromatic Dragonscale (a blue quality item used in making a Chromatic Cloak).
