∙ 13y agoIn most places, they have no true "duties". They are on staff simply to keep parents' worries in check slightly. They cannot administer much of any medical treatment besides sending a student home or giving them an aspirin (but not even that in most places).
I know at my old school the nurse gave you a mint, took your temperature and without a fever, you went back to class, with one you went home.
