The components that are needed in the high jump are flexibility, speed, power, body composition, agility, balance, co-ordination strength and reaction time. These are also very important components that you will need for Netball.

The horizontal component of velocity for a projectile is not affected by the vertical component at all. Horizontal component is measured as xcos(theta) Vertical component is measured as xsin(theta) Whereas theta is the angle, and x is the magnitude, or initial speed.
Vertical Jump is when they (scorers )measure you and then you jump as high as you can. The winner is the person who jumped the furthest.
