1. We cut down the forests that used to suck carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere.
2. We dig up fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) and we burn them in industry, transport and to make electricity.
3. We eat more and more red meat and the animals and farms emit lots of methane, a greenhouse gas 25 times more powerful than carbon dioxide.
4. We waste electricity by leaving lights and appliances on, forcing power companies to build more power plants.
5. We burn oil by driving to the corner store, and taking kids to school instead of walking or riding bikes.
