Well obviously it depends on the person and the animal involved.

  • If someone is roaming around in the middle of the African plain, they're going to be attacked, mauled, or eaten. So it wouldn't be good for their health I'm sure.
  • People with Allergies to certain animals will sneeze and have allergic reactions when around them. Obviously that is not very good either. Some allergic reactions can cause permanent damage and even death.
  • However, most interactions are pleasant. Older people are more likely to have pets because it has been proven that having a dog or cat or whatever will brighten someones spirits and lower the chance of depression.
  • Children develop well and are more likely to run around if they are raised with an animal. I believe it's important for children to have pets, though it is not necessary.
