Science has little to say about the Bermuda Triangle; science is concerned with scientific studies, not arbitrary lines drawn on a map. Science's interest in the area designated by these lines are related to meteorology, oceanography, marine Biology, and geology. Issues relating to human mishaps or victims of crimes are investigated by the appropriate government agencies from the countries associated with the territory or the victims.

They say there is no such thing. Boats and planes can disappear anywhere in the seas and oceans. They disappear in the sea near Bermuda with about the same frequency that they disappear anywhere else.

The "Bermuda Triangle" is a hoax; there's nothing mysterious about it. It is generally defined as a triangular area of the western Atlantic Ocean bounded by Bermuda, Cape Hatteras, and somewhere on the Florida coast.

One of the early books about the "Bermuda Triangle" claimed that a British sailing vessel, the "Sea Venture" enroute to Virginia, had mysteriously VANISHED in the Bermuda Triangle. Not entirely false, but not true either; the Sea Venture ran aground on the island of Bermuda, which was previously uncharted. Some of the survivors became the first inhabitants of Bermuda, while others built a new ship from the wreckage of the Sea Venture and continued on to America. (When I was stationed on Bermuda during the early 1970's, fragments of the remaining wreckage were used as decorations over the bar of the Sea Venture Lounge in the Hilton in St. Georges, Bermuda.)

The shoals and rocks along the coast around Cape Hatteras were always dangerous, especially before the lighthouses were built, and especially during hurricane season. While there have been many wrecks along that coastline, there was nothing "mysterious" about them. Between the storms, the rocks, and the German submarines, there were plenty of entirely natural causes for the missing ships.
