bb
Brown eye gene = B
Blue eye gene = b
Each person has two copies of the eye color gene in their genome, one inherited from each parent. Now if both parents only carry the gene for brown eyes, BB and BB, then their child will receive one B from each parent, ending up as BB. The same works for blue eyes, if that's the only gene both parents carry, bb and bb. Each parents gives on b to the child, who ends up as bb.
If you have one parent who only has the gene for brown eyes, BB, and one parent who only has the gene for blue eyes, bb, then all the children will have brown eyes. Example: One parent gives a B, the other gives a b. Bb = brown eyes. Here's why: When you have two alleles (coding sequences) from genes that are at odds with each other, one version will override the the other. When dealing with eye color, B always dominates b. But these children now carry the b gene in them, and could pass it down to their own children. Some of them, depending on the other parent, could end up with blue eyes.
If one parent is Bb, and the other is bb, then each time they have a child, there is a 50% chance it will have blue eyes. Example: First parent is Bb, second parent is bb, then their children will end up as either Bb, bb, Bb, bb. If both parents carry the genes for brown eyes and blue eyes, then each time they have a child, there is a 25% chance it will have blue eyes. Example: First parent is Bb, second parent is Bb, then their children will end up as either BB, Bb, Bb, bb.
If the child is a girl then she'll have blue eyes, because most of the genetics similarities is with the father compared with the mother.
Celtic people tend to have dark brown hair, fair skin, and blue eyes because of genetics.
The genetics of eye color are more complex than previously thought. Almost any parent-child combination of eye colors can occur.

Some dogs do have blue eyes, mostly because of genetics and in that case it will stay blue.
It is possible for a child with a brown-eyed parent and a green-eyed parent to have blue eyes if there is the trait for blue eyes in the child's genetics. Such as a grandparent with blue eyes.
The color of a horses eyes has no bearing on anything really.Blue eyes are caused by specific genetics.
I can't really explain in genetics, but I can in similarity. A colour of a Cat's fur can be like the colour of our eyes in a way. If one of your parents has brown eyes (with no trace of blue eyes) and the other had blue eyes, you would get brown eyes. So, the white Cat is the blue eyes and the black Cat is the brown eyes. Do you get that?
no......... unless you get contacts for your baby. is this a joke??
Genetics, and maybe a bit of luck that wasn't needed or asked for.
according to genetics your daughter would have a 25% chance of having blue eyes because in humans blue eyes is a reccessive trait and Brown is a dominant. also having blue eyes mean that your eyes are missing something to help prevent pink eye( fun fact)!
Mean? Nothing. It is simply a product of certain genes. It has no meaning.
The genetics of eye color are more complex than realized previously. Almost any parent-child combination of eye colors can occur.
I dont think so. Mine are still grey-blue =) (and listen to me cause I kno what I talking about!)
