You can open the event viewer and check the success of audit reports and failures my computer ->rt click->manage->computer management system tools- event viewer-> security

Event Viewer tells you where and when errors happen including Windows Startup.
One can find their Windows system event log by going to 'My Computer' and left-clicking on 'Manage'. Continue to click on 'Event Viewer' and then 'System'. This will then show one the number of devices on one's IP address.

It's called Event viewer, and it's a part of windows. Start -> right click on My Computer -> Manage -> System Tools -> Event Viewer. You might have to turn on logging option for certain events such as log on/off, policy change and so on.
