The truck has 4 wheel disc brakes. The parking brake uses the hub on the rear rotor with a small set of brake shoes inside for use as a park brake only. www.trailvoy.com
Pads
The brake pads or brake shoes are worn and rubbing against the rotor or drum, Disc brakes use brake pads and brake drums use brake shoes. Need to get them replaced before they cause too much damage or you will wind up with repairs or replacement of the rotors or drums also.

No reason why not - It wont harm the material. Just use sparingly, and make sure its rubbed in well. Polish with a dry cloth after application.
The make and model of truck doesn't matter.. FMCSA dictates that it cannot be less than 3/16" thick at the center for shoes with a continuous lining, and 1/4" inch at the center for systems which use two separate shoes.
A double action brake shoe comprising a shoe, a lining and an oscillator material as main components which function respectively as a reinforcing body of the brake shoe, a brake material and as a generator of certain vibration frequency when the shoe is applied to a hub. The lining is attached on the surface of the brake shoe and oscillator material is inserted between the shoe and the lining.
Rear brakes use a 2-stage rotor. Interior of rotor has a brake drum effect with brake shoes Adjust these brake shoes carefully because there is some expansion with friction heat and may cause brakes to drag
If the shoes have been soaked in fluid, there is no cleaning them. I have tried brake cleaner, even tried using my torch and heating them very hot to bubbl out the fluid - no joy. Replace them if they have been soaked. If you just have a little on the surface, use conventional brake cleaner (spray can).
