What are the most frightening attractions at Walt Disney Worlds Magic Kingdom for small children?

At the Magic Kingdom, a good ride to go on is the Jungle Cruise. It is not very frightening, but does have one or two intense moments. Kids who are afraid on the Jungle Cruise aren't ready for the more intense rides.

Scary rides would include Pirates of the Caribbean, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, the Haunted Mansion (mostly only the name is scary), Snow White's Scary Adventure, the Barnstormer at Goofy's Wise Acres Farm , Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, and Space Mountain (a big rollercoaster in the dark).

Astro Orbiter has an intimidating waiting area, but the ride itself is tame.

Disney recommends these rides for younger children:

• Jungle Cruise - Very tame. Kids get to see the animals, the boat ride is relaxing. The wait can get long, though.
• Dumbo - One of the most popular ride. You can control the height (until the very end, when everyone goes up).
• Magic Carpet of Aladdin - Same idea as Dumbo. Added benefit of each carpet seating 4 instead of 2, so less fights about who will sit with mom or dad.
• Many Adventures of Winnie the pooh - The heffalumps & woozles scene is a little trippy, but not scary. Kids will enjoy seeing familiar characters.
• it's a small world - A classic, and the line is never too long.
• Peter Pan's Flight - Closely follows the movie. If your kids were fine with that, they will love being in Neverland.
• Mickey's PhilharMagic - Features many popular characters. BUT it's in 3D, which can scare some kids. This one is hit or miss.
• Cinderella's Golden Carousel - Smaller horses are to the inside. There are also two stationary "carriages" for anyone who doesn't want to climb up.
• Toon Town houses - Walk through Mickey and Minnie's houses! Great for photo-ops.

The in-park transportation can also be fun and relaxing. Take a train ride around the perimeter, or hop on the steamboat for a short tour around the river.
