Is Muhammads words and actions included in te quran?

Things that were happening to Muhammad are spoken of by God in the Qur'an. The Qur'an was revealed here a little and there a little - based upon situations and events. But the greater body of recorded sayings and actions of Muhammad are written down separate from the Qur'an in collections of Bukhari and Muslim and others. These are the great scholars who documented the Prophet's life.
