The battles of Turkey. Well, the main one would be how long to put it in for. I mean, pound, pound, time, time, it's just confusing. Another would be what toppings and fillings to use. You can't please everyone, so don't try beets or that wierd jelly stuff, you just want to go for gravy on the side. Battle number three is who should make the turkey in the first place. Daughter in law, mother, grandmother, who cooks it? The fourth battle would be Whether to get a small turkey or a big turkey. It probably depends on the ammount/hunger of your guests, so choose wisely. Most people can eat a pound or so, so if you have 20 people over, try a 23 pounder. The last battle is whether to invite the mother-in-law to eat the turkey with the family. You know, THAT mother-in law? The one that has never and will never keep her mouth shut? You've got to base it on the tolerance of your other guests. I hope this helped you with the battles of turkey. Nothing but its own death. After having ruled Turkey and most of the Middle East for centuries, the Ottomans allied themselves with the losing faction in WWI. The Empire lasted another couple of years after the shooting stopped, but was basically waiting to topple over. Five Empires went into WWI, and only two came out, The British Empire and the French Republic with its colonies, an empire in all but name. The Ottoman Turks joined the Russian Romanov dynasty, the German Hohenzollern dynasty, and the Austro-Hungarian Hapsburg dynasty (another centuries old fixture of Europe) on history's trash heap.
what were the five battles of the 100 years war and was that all the battles in the 100 years war
The Ottoman Empire of the 1700s and 1800s failed to embrace progress, understand nationalism, or modernize. This led to their inability to compete with European powers. The Ottoman Empire was incredibly conservative and attempts at progress (the Tanzimat Reforms) were crushed by the Islamic Establishment like the Caliphs and Mullahs. The Young Turks, a secular movement in the Ottoman Empire proposing reforms, was only able to take control when Mustafa Kemal Atatürk overthrew the Ottoman Imperial Government through coup d'état.

Five empires went into the war, and only one came out - the British Empire. Falling as a result of the war were the German Empire (the Hohenzollerns), the Austro-Hungarian Empire (the Hapsburgs, after more then 400 years), the Russian Empire (the Romanovs, after more then 250 years) and the Ottoman Empire (the Turks, after more than 450 years). In particular the fall of the Ottoman Empire, combined with the end of the Calpihate, resonates today in the continuing turmoil of the Middle East and the Muslim world.

Five Empires went into the war, and only one came out intact - the British Empire. Three were dismantled because they were on the losing side - the German Empire, the Austro-Hungarian (Hapsburg) Empire, and the Ottoman (Turkish) Empire. One fell apart under the tremendous demands and the enormous losses of the war, disintegrating into revolution and chaos - the Russian Empire.
