Well it depends on what kind of salad you're eating! Romain lettuce contains B vitamins while Iceburg Lettuce has little nutritional value. Different dressings contain fats and some are more healthy for you than others. Chicken adds protein but the chicken is best if it is grilled. Almonds are delicious in salad and help your memory :)

Lettuce is a green vegetable, very low in calories and is a very healthy meal choice. 110 grams of lettuce is only 15 calories.
Lettuce is an excellent source of Vitamin A and beta carotenes. It is also a rich source of vitamin K, and a good source of floats and vitamin C. Lettuce also contains zea-xanthin, which is beneficial to the the retinas. And, it is also rich in B vitamins - thiamin, B-6, and riboflavins.
It also contains good amounts of minerals such as iron, calcium potassium and magnesium.
