1. To safeguard the interests of the travelling public and keep a ethical standard within the travel trade .

2. To promote social life by providing a social ground for members and their families and foster the spirit of co operation, understanding, fraternity, goodwill and fellowship amongst the members of travel and tourism industry .

3. To provide training to the members and improve their overall competence level .

4. To work closely with the airlines, other affiliated bodies and relevant government bodies to promote travel and tourism .

5. To lead a process of change to better prepare the members to face challenges of the current and future business environment in the travel and tourism .

6. To set and regulate standard and practices to be maintained by members so as to establish highest ethical and disciplinary standards . To act as arbritrators and otherwise to assist in the settlement of disputes and difficulties arising amongst members or in connection with the travel and tourism trade .

7. To act as a negotiating body for members and to make recommendations to the relevant governmental bodies to promote travel and tourism .

8. To acquaint the public with services which members are able to provide with the view or establishing that the membership of the association is a guarantee of competence and integrity in the travel and tourism field .

9. To aim at the development of the travel & tourism industry in India by constantly improving the standard of service and professionalism in the industry so as to cater the needs of travelers in India and overseas .

10. To promote the mutual co-operation among members by contributing to the sound porgies and growth of the travel and tourism industry as a whole .

11. To represent the travel agents trade before official bodies of Government, Airline bodies and other appropriate forums .

12. To educate and equip the members to meet the challenges of tomorrow through meetings and seminars .

13. To maintain close contacts with world bodies and represent matters affecting travel and tourism industry in India .

14. To gather useful information on travels and disseminate them to members for their guidance .

15. To promote social, cultural, literal, sports, games and likes activities among the members and their families .

16. To establish libraries and reading rooms . To provide facilities and to get the association affiliated to similar bodies .

17. To acquire by purchase, gift, lease, grant, bequest or otherwise building and other movable properties or rights therein privileges attached thereto and to hold, manage, develop, sell, mortgage on lease or otherwise dispose of such assists which will be deemed necessary or convent for any purposes of the Association .

18. To accept gifts, donation, raise subscriptions from the members of the Association or other persons for providing income to the association, on such terms and conditions as may deem proper and necessary for the fulfillment of the aims and objects of the Association .

19. To borrow from bank or other financial institutions or individuals amounts necessary for carrying out the objects of the society .

20. To engage in any activity which is included and conductive to the attainment of the above objects
