Many things can cause this: the thermostat is not opening the fan is not working blown head gasket or craket block or head if the motor seem to run fine then it probably not the last 2. also follow the upper radatior hose to the motor at this point there should be a houseing with a little nipple or what looks like a grease fitting this is an air bleeder when you get air in the system it is not getting full of water. loosen this fitting while the motor is cool and fill radaitor until only water comes out of it then retighten the fitting and run the car to see if it still gets hot.
The water pump on a 94 Acura Integra is located on the front of the engine. It uses the power of the engine to circulate hot water from the engine to the radiator to cool it.
could it be the thermostat or the fan itself?
Replace your thermostat.
jump a hot wire downt to it with it running with gauges on it and read the readings.
check your thermostat and if its opening up then you have a blown head gasket
Running hot can be caused by several things. A bad water pump, stuck thermostat or cooling fan not working are the most common causes,
check to be sure that the thermostat is not backwards and is the correct heat rated unit for the car
The fuel pump relay assembly is notorious for not working when the weather gets hot. This is especially true when it is hot and sunny, which increases the temperature inside the car. This affects the relay as it is found in the dash. The relay is sometimes referred to as the "main" relay.
Because it needs refilling
the temperature in 1991 accura integra is fluctuating dramaticlly from normal to very hot to normal...why ?
Because it's sitting in the sun.
I use to have this problem all the time every where i went. I hate it when it dies at the gas station, just right when you get done pumping gas into it.... but the problem is your Main Relay. Change that out to a new one and you should be good to go. the Main Relay is under you Steering wheel.
