On a 5-speed I'm pretty sure it is right next to where the shift tower gets bolted to the trans. It is a little ball that rides on the shifting rail. Should be pretty much the only sensor that is on the top center section of the trans.
to make it worth it you should atleast repalce the main beaings and piston rings when you do it.
the thermostat probably went bad try to change it or take it out and see if it that helps.
The whole timing mechanism should be looked at. You should also look at the clutch to make sure it's not in horrible condition.
how do you change the upper and lower ball joint on a 95 s10 pick up truck 4 cylinder rear wheel drive
If you let the ball joint go that bad, it can separate and you will lose control.
need to use a ball joint press.
Ball joint hub? Mabe we're not speaking the same language.
Remove the tire and wheel from your 1992 Chevrolet S 10 Blazer. Removing the brake assembly and the brake rotor will give you more room to work. Remove the ball joint nut. Pound the ball joint out with a hammer. Reverse the process to install the new ball joint.
Have vehicle scanned to determine problem
