What are the pros and cons of feminism?

Feminist theory focuses on issues of oppression and inequality and strives for self actualization and empowerment. Some cultures do not share these views and differences in gender roles are traditional and valued. Counselors practicing feminist theory run the risk of imposing their own values on clients.
