Pro's:

* There are loads and loads of shops and shopping stores, which means there are is a differing array of areas where you are able to go in order to buy stuff which you want or need. This is brilliant because, instead of needing to go a long way in order to get stuff, you are able to go only a small way. * Restaurants, although quite expensive, are nice establishments to go to in order to eat out, or basically just enjoy yourself. * Museums are interesting, and if there are students who wish to learn more about the time periods they are studying, then museums are ideal for them to do so as well as enjoying themselves at the same time. * Concerts are attended by loads and loads of persons, and will probably be there for persons who wanna see their favorite musical artists live, and to enjoy the music too. * Sporting events are an interest for many persons who enjoy the adrenaline rush of either participating or watching their team try their hardest to win or compete against the other teams. * Zoo's are nice areas to go to because they offer large amounts of animals which otherwise would be dangerous and practically impossible to see in reality. The only other way to see animals any other way is by safariing, which is a tad dangerous, or on television, which sometimes can be tedious and harmful to the eye.

Con's:

* Traffic is a bad thing is practically all city areas because there are so many motorists attempting to get to other areas in the city at sometimes all times in the day. This can be dangerous because of motorway accidents and also that persons will be late for occasions they wanna go to. * Crime is atrociously alive in city areas because criminals realise that there are loads of persons to steal from, hurt or do whatever else they do, whereas out of the city, there are normally very few persons and less important stuff to steal. * Higher costs overall; because of inflation in city areas, costs are shooting up at incredibly untrackable rates. So although frequent shopping centres is a good thing, the costs bring it to the downside. * Rent is bad, what with inflation at the rates at it is. Unfortunately, inflation for homes is gradually seeping into out-of-city areas, sometimes quite speedily. * Food costs are going up because of inflation. * Gas is going up in costs as well, because of inflation. === === === === Pros:

* City-dwellers in more built-up areas (eg, Manhattan, as opposed to outer Brooklyn) are less involved in their neighbors lives, allowing for more privacy without the total isolation of rural areas. * Greater infrastructure, such as a public (safety-tested) water supply, mass transit systems and nearby high-quality emergency services. * Higher levels of tolerance/acceptance for others who are of different ethnicities, religions, lifestyles, or general habits. There is a place for everyone. * There is a greater array of job opportunities, so more specialized professions may be more doable in a city Cons:

* Port cities have higher than average populations of Norway rats, even compared to other densely populated areas. * Reputation for high crime, though the reality, once adjusted per capita, is very different. * With immigrants (both from the outlying suburbs and rural areas, and from other countries) there is high competition for entry-level and menial jobs. * City-dwellers are less involved in their neighbors lives. (pro/con status depends whether you appreciate that sort of thing.)

There's two sides to this question- the good and the bad. Personally, I would not want to live in a large city due to crime rates. I would also not like to live in a large city due to overcrowdedness and pollution. On the plous side, there is much more to do in a large city then a small tow. There's more people, so there would be more oppertunities to meet people. There would also be more restaurants, movie theatres, ect.
