You need to go to either University or TAFE and do a course to get the job and once you have those qualifications you also need to be good with children and understand their needs also, You need to be understands of the students but you also have to be strict in the sense that you can't let them do anything they want to do unless it is safe and you approve.

∙ 10y agoIn the United Kingdom, gym teachers require a Bachelor of Education degree, or a relevant degree combined with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or GTP (Graduate Teacher Programme) certificate. For the latter option, it is best to chose a gym/PE-relevant degree, such as Physical Education or Sports Coaching. Sports Science degrees may be accepted, but are considered less relevant to the role of gym teacher.
