The Calvin cycle also known as Calvin-Benson cycle or Reductive Pentose Phosphate cycle.

It is a series of biochemical reaction that takes place in stroma of photosynthetic organism.

It is one of the light-independent(dark) reactions also called as carbon fixation because the cycle uses the short-lived electronically -excited carriers to convert carbon dioxide and water into organic compounds.

The key enzyme of the cycle is called RuBisCO.

The sum of the reaction in the cycle is as follows:

3CO2+6NADPH+5H2O+9ATP------glyceraldehyde-3phosphate(G3P)+2H+ +6NADP+ +9ADP+8Pi

Hexose(six carbon) sugars are not a product of the Calvin cycle.Although many text list a product of photosynthesis as C6H12O6 ,this is mainly a convenience to counter the equation of respiration , where six carbon sugar are oxidized in mitochondria. The carbohydrate product of the Calvin cycle are three -carbon sugar phosphate molecules,or "triose phosphate ,"namely glyceraldehyde-3phosphate(G3P)

What does photosynthesis get?

The two reactants in photosynthesis are water (H2O) and light. The products of photosynthesis are oxygen (O2), NADPH and ATP. These then cycle and become reactants in the Calvin cycle.

What are the Calvin cycle's reactants?

The Calvin Cycle, also known as the Calvin-Benson-Bassham (CBB) cycle, is a series of redox reactions that occur in the chloroplasts. The initial reactants are water and carbon dioxide.

What are the substances used Calvin cycle?

The Reactants for the Light-Independent Cycle(Calvin Cycle) are ATP, CO2, and NADPH

What are the products and reactants of the Krebs cycle?

Its Acetyl-CoA

How does photosystem II and photosystem allow the Calvin cycle to work?

The products of the photosystems are the reactants for the Calvin cycle.Students who are using this as a resource for APEX coursework should note that you may want to paraphrase so your teachers can't google your responses :)

What are products of Calvin Cycle?

The products of the Calvin cycle are 2 glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate (G3P) molecules, 3 ADP, and 2 NADP+ -By: Isaiah_the_nerd

Where do the products of the Calvin cycle go?

According to Biologists, after the products in the Calvin Cycle become 3-carbon sugars then some of the molecules either become monosaccharide or remain in the cycle and turn into RuBP.

What is a reactant in the Calvin cycle?

co2

Organic compounds that can be made from the products of the Calvin cycle include what?

Carbohydrates, amino acids, and lipids can be made form the products of the Calvin cycle.

Which Calvin cycle products are used in the light ractions?

ADP and NADP+

What is a product in the Calvin cycle?

The products of the Calvin cycle are the three carbon sugar phosphate molecules or the triose phosphates (G3P). The products formed after a single turn of the Calvin cycle are 3 ADP, 2 glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate (G3P) molecules, and 2 NADP+.

What is the reactant gas in photosynthesis and a product of photosynthesis?

The overall reactants of photosynthesis are carbon dioxide and water, and the overall products of photosynthesis are glucose and oxygen. The overall reactants of aerobic respiration are glucose and oxygen, and the overall products of respiration are carbon dioxide and water.
