Every remote manufacturer has a different set of codes numbers for other manufacturers. What remote are you using?
No. The remote included with the SC-VK480 mini system is not designed to control the SC-PT75. The PT75 came with a remote control.
It's the best system you can buy for $88. It isn't nearly as good as more expensive systems. This type of system is better suited for surround gaming with your computer.
Adding surround sound will not affect the performance of your TV, but it will enhance some of the sound you get from your TV. But be aware, not all TV audio will give you a "wow" reaction. Sitcoms, news and other general shows don't feature very exotic audio to begin with. Music shows (CMT, VH1, PBS) will sound very nice on your surround system. You will mostly notice enhanced audio when watching a DVD movie which has embedded surround-sound and the audio will sound much like what you hear in a movie theater.
Go into the audio menu on the TV and try different settings, is there a Dolby setting?

Yes Polk Audio makes home theater speakers paired with an Onkyo receiver
Just feed the audio output on the back to the TV set to an audio input of the home theater. Don't forget to turn the speakers in the TV off (down) when using the home theater sound system.
Connect the audio out of the TV to the audio input of the surround receiver with a dual RCA cable. Note that this connection isn't surround. You will need to connect a DVD, Blu-Ray or digital cable box to the surround receiver for true surround sound.
Yes, the Pioneer equalizer will interface with other audio and home theater products.
YES!! .... But only if it has a digital input. Many DVD home theater systems cannot add other players to their system. They are essentially closed systems with the amplifier, tuner and player all built into one.
Hi, Probably, but depending on your TV set's system, you may not get surround sound but instead, standard stereo. That's because surround sound needs an encoded signal to work properly and the TV's audio system may not pass that portion of the signal through the audio chain. Give it a try. If it works, great. If it doesn't, you'll have your answer. Hope that helps, Cubby
Audio out or headset out from the laptop to audio IN on the surround unit. The audio level on the laptop might need to be set at MAX to get enough volume for the surround to use properly. To hear a full surround sound signal you will need to have content that is stored in a surround sound format and a sound card that supports multi-channel audio outputs.
