If one is on intravenous antibiotics to treat a blood borne staph infection what are the odds of passing the staph to others?

I actually had staph infection that had to be treated intravenously. I almost died, but to my knowledge and my families as long as there is no blood contact all is good. The dr.'s and nurses didn't use masks to enter my room. All they used was gloves as normal for any patient. I was in hospital for several weeks and came home still on iv anitbiotics daily, my children gave me my infusions and they are all fine. So I would say that the chance of spreading it is not a problem as long as there is no blood exposure.. I hope this helps
