None really. Fascism is a totalitarian political system based on the exhaltation of the nation above all else and th absolute subordination of the individual to the will of one leader. It permits no rights or freedoms or liberties of any kind. Private property is retained but all economic resources are at the call of the state. Fascism also tends to be very militaristic. Capitalism on the other hand is an economic system which can be accomodated under different kinds of political systems but which works best under, and tends to foster a tendency toward, democracy. Capitalism requires private property and the freedom to exchange capital, property and labor. In order for people to feel confident in a capitalist system there has to be legal protection for property rights. This fosters the rule of law. When people come to understand that their economic rights are inherent and are properly protected by law they tend to take a greater interest in the political situation and begin desiring to exercise their political rights. Fascism, being totalitarian, has much more in common with Communism than with Capitalism. Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin, although they hated each other, learned from each other and applied each others methods to consolodate and expand their tyranies. Michael Montagne

Fascism is an authoritarian political ideology (generally tied to a mass movement) that considers the individual subordinate to the interests of the state, party or society as a whole. Fascists seek to forge a type of national unity, usually based on (but not limited to) ethnic, cultural, racial, religious attributes. Various scholars attribute different characteristics to fascism, but the following elements are usually seen as its integral parts: patriotism, nationalism, statism, militarism, totalitarianism, anti-communism, corporatism, populism, collectivism, autocracy and opposition to political and economic liberalism.

The term Nazism or National Socialism (German: Nationalsozialismus) refers primarily to the ideology and practices of the Nazi Party under Adolf Hitler; and the policies adopted by the government of Nazi Germany from 1933 to 1945, a period also known as the Third Reich.[1][2][3][4] The official name of the Nazi party was the National Socialist German Workers' Party, (German: Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei[5] or NSDAP). Nazism was the main form of National Socialism that emerged after World War I, and is generally considered by scholars to be a form of fascism

Yes, they have a lot in common. This should be unsurprising as in the early days of the Nazi Party, Hitler modeled his movement on Mussolini's Fascist Party, and sought to copy things that Mussolini did. The best example of this being the "Beer Hall Putsch", where Hitler tried to overthrow the government in a way fairly similar to Mussolini's prior "March on Rome".

In short, both Nazism and Fascism are typically classed as far right-wing political movements which stress militarism, authoritarianism, anti-liberalism (in this sense, "liberalism" refers to what Americans typically call "Libertarianism"), and nationalism. Both distrusted capitalism and especially hated communism; they sought to carve out their own "third way". Lastly, both demanded that the people submit themselves to the greater good of "the State", led by a single all-powerful leader.

However, they did have some profound differences. Notably, Nazism was extremely racist in nature; Italian Fascism was very nationalist, but not nearly as racist as Nazi Germany (although during World War II, Italy did submit to Germany's demands to become more racist). Fascism was very concerned with the "third way" economics and came up with a fairly complicated system. Hitler openly hated economics and put very little effort into them- Nazi Germany remained largely capitalist, as it had been before Hitler took power (except that their version of capitalism integrated some Nazi ideals, notably getting rid of Jewish people and occasionally using them as slaves).

Communism and Nazism are anathema to each other in that Nazism focused of nationalism and national identity, whereas Communism was intended to be an egalitarian system, in which such distinctions are nonexistent or irrelevant (at least, in theory).
