I didn't know Nissan HAD carburetors in 1998. Aren't they "Fuel injected"? Easy to figure out. Look under the hood, when You remove the air-cleaner, do You see any "jets"? Usually one or two. If You do not see any jets, and there is metal tubing coming off the top of the motor, You have a "FUEL-injected" engine.
