What triggers puberty in boys and girls is the hypothalamus in the brain produces gonadotrophin releasing hormone.
This stimulates the pituitary gland (also in the brain) to emit follicle stimulating hormone and luteinsing hormone.
When these arrive at the boy's testes or the girl's ovaries, they trigger the production or release of the sex hormone, testosterone for boys and oestrogen and progesterone for girls.
Testosterone courses through the body, initiating puberty. for boys. In girls, oestrogen initiates puberty and progesterone prepares the body for possible pregnancy.
Facial development
For boys:
For girls:
Voice breaking for boys.
Boys voices break during their teenage years. They drop in pitch by as much as an octave.
This is triggered by testosterone. It causes the cartilage of the voice box to grow larger and the vocal cords to become longer.
During this time, the voice box tilts. It can start to stick out as a prominent Adams apple on the neck.
When we speak, our vocal cords vibrate as the air is pushed out of the lungs. As boys vocal cords get longer, they vibrate more slowly, producing a lower pitched sound. As the face, jaw and lungs and chest grow, they provide more space got voice to resonate in, deepening it even further.
Breast Development in girls
The first external sign of puberty in girls, breasts take up to 4 years to grow in a series of stages:
Sweat.
Before puberty we produce sweat to control our body temperature. During puberty, we begin to sweat in a new way.
We start to produce a thick, fatty, grayish sweat in response to stress, emotion and sexual excitement. As bacteria decompose the sweat, its starts to smell, this smell is known as BO. This sweat is only produced in the armpits, belly button, ears, groin and nipples. The hair found in many of these areas provides a large surface area for the smell of rotting sweat to disperse from.
Hand growth
The bones of the hands and wrists change during puberty. At age 2, they have wide gaps between their bones. These gaps contain cartilage. As the hand grows, the gaps become tightly packed with bones. By age 20, these gaps have disappeared. Once the gaps have gone, the ends of the bones fuse and growth stops.
Male genitals, public hair and erections.
The first external sign of puberty in boys is when the testicles start to get bigger.
Public hair appears and the penis begins to enlarge. Over the next 2 to 5 years the testicles, scrotum and penis continues to grow. Public hair becomes coarse, dark and curly.
Boys get erections as soon as they start to mature sexually. Blood flows into the erectile tissue in the penis, making it hard.
Girls pubic hair, hips, thighs and periods.
Pubic hair usually starts to grow shortly after the breasts start to form. It becomes coarse, dark and curly and forms an upside down triangle shape.
The pelvic bones grow and the hips widen. Fat develops on the hips, thighs and buttocks, making the body more curvaceous.
Fluctuating hormone levels start a menstrual cycle then controls a women's fertility. The average length of this cycle is 28 days. A girl's period starts on Day one, when the thick uterus lining is released along with blood and mucus. After the period is over, the uterus lining thickens in preparation for pregnancy. Around Day 14, the ovaries release a egg. If the egg is not fertilised, the menstrual cycle will begin again with another period.
in order, tends to be the first that happens:
penis and testicles grow
start to grow pubic hair
voice breaks
armpit hair grows
start shaving
chest hair grows
the steps of puberty can come at different times for different people, these are not in order but the steps are mainly pubic hair starts to grow, balls drop, penis grows bigger, growth spurts, acne, armpit hair grows, voice starts to crack, and thats most of it HOPE THIS HELPS :)
Usually its starting to grow hairs anywhere from your chin to your down under. And also you start to act weird around girls. That sort of thing.
Well first you notice that your voice is starting to get deeper and your voice is starting to crack then you notice your parts are starting to grow and then you become more annoying
It is not usual for steps to go out of order. Because one step triggers the later step.
After puberty, a person is physically ready to start a family. In our society, people get married first. Then they try to have a baby and start a family.
In the stages of puberty, getting your period is one of the last steps although the other steps carry on happening during your periods. One of the most obvious sightings that you're going to get your period, is after you have had discharge for 6-12 months.
The first step is increase in the size of testis. then the increase in height and weight of the body . then growth of hair on face, pubic region and armpits.
the answer to this question is puberty
