European standard is 32 pages I think, and US is 24 pages but you can add pages to a US passport.
My brand new 32 page UK passport issued October 2012 weighs 25g.

with my 1991 Honda civic @ approx 200,xxx miles and a 12 gallon fuel tank, i get 27.75 mpg driving at 70 mph. with an newer engine and proper engine timing and valve lash you could expect 32 mpg or better.
My Civic has 186,000 miles and still running. Just took it in to change the timing belt and water pump. Not because I had to, just because I should. My 2000 Honda Civic EX has 330,000 miles on it and it's going strong. I get 32 MPG but it leaks a little oil, about a 1/2 quart per fill up. I changed the timing belt at 240,000 but I got lucky. If it breaks it destroys the engine which I did not know.
