Two differnt models. Depending on vin it will have one or 2 pumps. In the single pump it is outside of the tank. In the double pump system one will be outside of tank and the other on the inside.

Sludge is kinda vague .Could you describe this better as to where it is in the Carb area and any other symptoms such as excessive oil consumption?
