What are the torque specs for the valve cover for a 1999 Nissan Altima?

I was just trying to install the cover after a new gasket, checked the torque settings and they recommend at 25 pounds first following this sequence the second bolt from the left to be the first and the one below or directly on the other side to be the second. Third the one immediately to the right and fourth the one below it. Fifth on the left top corner and sixth below it, seventh to the top right and eight the one below on the right corner, ninth the center bolts and finally the tenth on the right middle. The second pass at 65 pounds, but here is what I intend to do following the same sequence, tight using one hand until it stops with a gentle pressure -10 pounds- then three times one quater of a turn at a time if you feel that it needs the fourth quater turn to complete the full 360 turn then do it but use your judgement and do not over tighten it. I snapped the first bolt trying to follow the 25 pound with a torque, need new bolts.
