Cochlea
The inner ear.
it is for balance and sound
The semicircular canals of your inner ear are used to maintain balance.
* three half-circular, interconnected tubes located in each ear * a set of 3 loops in the inner ear that are important to balance * curved tubes containing fluid, movement of which makes us aware of turning sensations as the head moves

Pharynx and inner ear
The middle ear plays a role in transmitting sound vibrations to the inner ear but does not directly control your sense of equilibrium. Equilibrium is primarily monitored by the vestibular system in the inner ear, which detects changes in head position and movement to help maintain balance.

Inner ear
the inner ear
It can. The ears, nose and throat are all connected together by fine tubes. The inner ear controls balance. With an infection, there is swelling. Those tubes may be swollen shut and cause earache, but the general higher pressure in the area due to the strep throat can affect the inner ear and cause balance problems, which should get better long before the course of antibiotics is finished. If it isn't, see your doctor.
Damage to the labyrinth, or the small, fluid-filled structure found in the inner ear that helps control balance, is generally the reason for dizziness.
