Well, Canis Major contains Sirius - the brightest star in the night sky.
After the sun the brightest star is Sirius in the constellation of Canis MajorIn addition to the star Sirius (brightest star in the night sky) in the Canis Major constellation. Another bright star in the night sky is Rigel (7th brightest star in the night sky) and it belongs to the Orion Constellation. The Orion constellation is the hunter. Next to Rigel are two other stars that make up Orion's belt. The other two stars are Bellatrix (27th brightest star in the night sky) and Betelgeuse (9th brightest star in the night sky). The Orion constellation stands out on the Northern Hemisphere between the months of January and March and during the summer months in the Southern Hemisphere.
This constellation looks like a hunter. It has three stars as a belt of the hunter. There are some faint stars below the belt forming the sword of the hunter. The two brightest stars of this constellation are Betelgeuse (Punarvasu) and Regel (Mrigshira)
Acrux is the brightest star in constellation Crux. It is a multi star system, but only two stars are visually distinguishable. They are approximately 14 and 10 times larger than our Sun.

I don't know about pointing at two stars, but the last two stars in the big dipper's handle point to Arcturus, one of the brightest stars in the sky. Arcturus is in the constellation of Bootes, the Herdsman.

The brightest is Gamma Draconis or Eltanin or Etanin (magnitude 2.2) The second brightest is Beta Draconis or Rastaban (magnitude 2.8) Traditionally the star designated as Alpha is the brightest in most constellations but not in Draco. Alpha Draconis or Thuban and is magnitude 3.6
Pollux, the head of the more easterly of the two twins (who is also named Pollux). Interestingly (and somewhat confusingly for people who think the designations run in order of brightness), Pollux is actually Beta Geminorum, not Alpha Geminorum (aka Castor).
Polaris is not a constellation but it is the brightest star in the constellation Ursa Minor, the Little Bear. Polaris is not a single star just like half of all known stars are not single stars like our sun but are normally in a system of two or more stars. Polaris is part of a system that is four stars. It's closest companion known as Polaris Ab is easy to see in a small telescope.
