All carbonates contain both carbon and oxygen A carbonate contains one or more of the CO3 anions. Example, sodium carbonate is NaCO3, potassium carbonate is KCO3, calcium carbonate is CaCO3, and seltzer water ( carbonic acid or seltzer water) is HCO3.

Chemical formula of carbon dioxide is CO2 this means two carbon atoms and single oxygen atom and chemical formula of water is H2O this means it consists of two hydrogen atoms and single oxygen atom..................:) I am not confirm about that maybe i am wrong.........:( than sorry for that so please check it out on Google.........:) thanx...........:>
