Clarence Strait in the Northern Territory separates Melville Island from the mainland of Australia. Endeavour Strait lies between the Australian mainland and Prince of Wales Island, which is in the far southern end of Torres Strait. Investigator Strait is the passage of water between South Australia's Yorke Peninsula and Kangaroo Island.
Some are in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. Antarctica even has some straits.
