I'm a member there, I think it's about 26 plus benefits. The reason I don't know exactly is I work in different union locals across the US, which varies from lower wages in the South to higher wages in the North, Northwest and Northeast.
Wages cannot be garnished for credit card debt in South Carolina. They can be garnished for unpaid taxes and child support.
Certainly, why not?
No They can not.....you are in one of the safe states. Texas and North and South Carolina along with Pa are safe states that can not garnish wages.
Answer South Carolina, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Texas, you are correct on Texas.
They can garnish your wages regardless of where you live or work. * Not usually, as South Carolina does not allow the garnishment of wages for creditor debt. However, if the creditor sues the debtor and wins a judgment the creditor can sometimes use UCC laws to attempt to override a state statute.
NO. In S.C. they can not garnish your wages if you have a judgement of a lien. It will go on your credit report, but no garnishments.
Wages cannot be garnished by anyone except the courts. Organisations and individuals must apply through the courts
It depends on what region you are in. Some States and Provinces follow the Rand Formula which essentially means: Since everyone receive all perks at working at a union worksite (higher wages, benefits, vacations) everyone must be a member of the union. If you live in any of these states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia or Wyoming you do not have to be a union member to receive what the union negotiates.
If you signed a contract in which you agreed to have your wages garnished should you not pay back the loan, then yes. There's more information at www.getecash.com
== == I know they can't garnish your wages but not sure about liens.
