No. Although scientists can monitor signs that a volcano is getting ready to erupt they are nowhere near predicting the day a volcano will erupt. They might not even be able to predict the month or even the year that it will erupt.
active
They can put up some signs, or symbols such as an example like the typhoons signal...
There was many signs such as earthquakes every now n then. nobody decided to listen to them signs and kept on going on with there everyday plans. there were also other signs such as smoke coming out of the top of the volcano, which was pretty obvious that the volcano was going to erupt. also, many of the animals were leaving because they new something was going to happen. but many died from the eruption because they ignored all the signs that were given to them. Hope i answered your Question :)
Yes they can, but only after extereme signs of disaster they can erupt after years of inactivity. One of these disasters are small tremors in the ground. So in conclusion, yes they can :)

You're probably thinking of the second, much larger volcano in Iceland that began showing signs that it may be about to erupt after the start of the Eyjafjallajökull eruption. That volcano is named Katla.

In some cases, yes. A volcanic eruption is often preceded by earthquakes with unique signatures. A volcano preparing to erupt may also bulge outward. In some cases a volcano may start venting steam, or more steam than usual. Sometimes small steam eruptions may occur as rising magma boils groundwater. This is a complicated matter however. In some cases a volcano may show signs of erupting, but nothing will come of it.
