There are many different types of malnutrition, but they can be categorized into several main classes. First is caloric malnutrition, in which there is insufficient overall energy in the diet. Second would be protein/carbohydrate/lipid malnutrition, in which one major class of nutrients is deficient. Third would be vitamin/mineral malnutrition, in which one or more vitamins or minerals are deficient. Fourth would be micronutrient malnutrition, in which certain micronutrients are deficient.
the three types of malnutrition are:
overnutrition: too much food energy or excess nutrients to the degree of causing disease or increasing the risk of disease
undernutrition: too little food energy or too few nutrients to prevent disease, to promote growth
nutrient defiences: too little of one or more nutrients in the diet
Hope the is helped and hopefully i wasn't too late :)
One type of Malnutrition can be caused by obesity where they take in a high amount of carbs and fats and foods of that sort often lack in valuable nutrients
Another type would be when some one suffers from anorexia where they
refrain from eating any food what so ever so they would suffer from a lack of nutrients as well causing malnutrition.
There are several different types of malnutrition. They include iron deficiency, vitamin A deficiency, iodine deficiency, and zinc deficiency.
protein-energy malnutrition or protein-calories malnutrition
Kwashiorkor and Marasmus

Two types of protein-energy malnutrition have been described--kwashiorkor and marasmus.
Dysphagia is the clinical term for difficulty in swallowing. There are three different types: oropharyngeal, esophageal, and functional. Failure to diagnose dysphagia can result in malnutrition, dehydration, and renal failure.
peckish, hungry, starving
Anemia, ricketts, hypothyroidism
Depending on the nutrients that is deficient, there are different implications of malnutrition. However generally, malnutrition will to the body's dysfunction and consequently death if not corrected
It could lead to malnutrition and you could very sick if you don't get enough of each type of vitamin and proteins. Gosh i sound like my mother...but its true :)
There are five form of malnutrition: 1- Growth failure (stunting) 2- Marasmus 3- Kawashiorkor 4- marasmic kawashiorkor 5- Micro nutrient deficiencies
malnutrition of carbohydrates
Malnutrition does not have any advantage
First of all we have to define what is malnutrition. It is a subjective term because your malnutrition may be different from mine. In Africa malnutrition may mean getting no food. In Asia it may mean not getting enough food. In Europe and US countries, it may mean lack of nutritious food or vitamins and minerals. This can be a reason why we are not able to collect the accurate data.
the most common and widesperd from of malnutrition is protien energy malnutrition (PEM)
