a placeA: They usually emigrate into states closest to the Mexican border, such as Texas.
Since 1924 when the Border Patrol was established. Before that, they came and went as they saw fit.
the cause was land, a border dispute.
in 2008 it was 3 million, but I'm not sure about the present date
The most usual term for people who help Mexicans cross the US border is coyotes.
Many reasons I'm sure. Some might have been born near the border and never left. Some Mexicans might try to profit from the tourism industry near their town. I'm sure the population is proportionate to other areas away from the border. Many Americans also live near that same border and like the Mexicans they may be seeking out jobs.
Most Mexicans live geographically in the central plateau because when the first emigrants crossed the border they settled closely by in Arizona, Texas and New Mexico. Later they migrated northward.
Mexico shares the southern border of the United States, which gives Mexicans a way to enter the United States. They come here for better jobs or other reasons, and the U.S. politicians do not enforce the immigration laws, allowing them to remain in the country illegally. Though the border with Canada is much longer, Canadians are content to stay in Canada. Immigrating to the U.S. illegally from countries other than Mexico or Canada would be much harder, since they would have to fly or boat in.
Mexicans may be crossing the border for various reasons, including seeking better economic opportunities, reuniting with family members, or escaping violence and unrest in their home country. Each individual's reasons for crossing the border are unique and complex.
Living conditions in Mexico vary greatly. Millions of people in Mexico live in substandard conditions regarding housing, drinking water, electricity and jobs. Therefore to get a better life millions of Mexicans want to get into the USA, either by legal immigration or by illegally crossing the border. Since many many American companies, individuals and farmers hire Mexicans to do things for less money than Americans would require and be legally entitled to, there are thousands of jobs in America that Mexicans know are there should they get into the USA either legally or illegally. Since their families are often poor and need a better life Mexicans continue and will continue to attempt to get into the USA by whatever means necessary. No matter how high a wall the USA builds along the border, Mexicans will still try and get into the USA for a better life for themselves and their families.
Mexicans didn't cross the border, the border crossed them.
