There are two operating nuclear power plants in Alabama, but there is a third that was partially built and is being considered again. The Brown's Ferry plant has been producing power at Athens, Alabama since December of 1973. The Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Generating Station at Dothan, Alabama began operations on December 1, 1977. The incomplete plant is the Belefonte Generating Station at Hollywood, Alabama.
There are two Fukushima nuclear power plants, both of which are in the Fukushima district on the east coast. Fukushima Daiichi, where the meltdowns happened, is at a town called Okuma. Fukushima Daini, is at a town called Naraha.

A little known fact is that all nuclear powered vessels can redirect their electrical generating capacity to power cities or towns that have lost their electrical power during a disaster.
There are two nuclear power plants in Georgia, US; Hatch, at Baxley, with two BWR's; and Vogtle, in Burke County, with two PWR's.
There are three nuclear power plants in Michigan. Enrico Fermi, Donald C. Cook and Palisades have one, two and one operating reactors, respectively. As regards active nuclear reactors used for generating electric power, that's the list. The count is one plus two plus one, or four reactors.

Both power plants generate electricity, but a fossil fuel power plant burns coal, oil, or gas to produce heat that boils water into steam to drive a turbine, while a nuclear power plant uses nuclear reactions to heat water into steam. Nuclear plants produce no greenhouse gas emissions, while fossil fuel plants do. However, nuclear plants produce radioactive waste that needs to be safely managed for a long time.
It all depends on the size of the two types of plants ... but on average it would be one for one.
